hms york
editI inherited a wooden maquette of a 3-mast frigat named "York" and carrying 28 guns. It should have been built (or sunk) in 1775. Any chance this a replica of an existing HMS YORK? Photo's available upon request. Thanks. jean.smidt@skynet.be —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.66.121.101 (talk) 12:33, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- The description does not match any ship named York to have sailed with the Royal Navy, none of which were 28 gun frigates. Further details would help identification, but it does not sound as if your model is meant to be a realistic depiction of any of the real HMS Yorks. Benea (talk) 15:02, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
