Wikipedia completely blocked in Russia?

edit

Hey @Superb Owl. Sorry for linking a 2023 Reuters article in my edit summary. I had a brain fart and thought it said 2024.

However I still think you might be mistaken on this issue. The sources you linked say things like For now, Ruwiki exists alongside Wikipedia's Russian-language version (link). Can you please reply with a quote from one of these sources that explicitly says that Roskomnadzor has blocked access to the Wikipedia domain? If such a quote isn't available, I would suggest self-reverting per WP:BRD. Thanks for your help on this. –Novem Linguae (talk) 04:35, 17 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Novem Linguae, you are right, I wasn't thorough enough in vetting the article (which was written by an intern) and came back to self-revert. Apologies for the mistake Superb Owl (talk) 07:07, 17 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
No problem at all. Happy editing. –Novem Linguae (talk) 07:30, 17 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Prosecuting readers?

edit

The subsection § Prosecuting readers seems to be nothing but speculation and borderline WP:OR. (Its single citation doesn't even mention Wikipedia, and supports only a tiny fraction of the paragraph.) I'm looking for sources to improve it with, but otherwise I think it should just be deleted. jlwoodwa (talk) 04:21, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
