editIt would be appreciated that notes here are more findable and repsondable than page summaries... precedence maybe one thing - disambiguation is far more important :) cheers SatuSuro 05:38, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Base Jumping
editI am the one who added the original paragraph (since removed by another editor) about base jumping from Frenchmans Cap. I did so in good faith. The (spectacular) photographs of people jumping are real and they do hang on the wall in the cafe at Derwent Bridge. When I asked about them at that place, Frenchmans Cap was cited as the location. But, as they say in the classics, it ain't necessarily so. I have since come to doubt that what I was told was correct. I am a geologist by profession and the geomorphology does not fit... Will you high-flying nut-cases please lend us a hand here?... Captainbeefart (talk) 10:36, 13 June 2013 (UTC) Amended Captainbeefart (talk) 03:30, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
- I heard the same thing (at the same cafe) and Lake Tahune was clearly recognisable in the shot SpaceInnovader (talk) 13:15, 26 February 2018 (UTC)
