In the background section there are 3 paragraphs that are not cited directly. Additionally the core source does not seem too reliable, and is the foundation for the article. That source is unreliable because it is unclear where the FOTW (flags of the world) gets their information from for the Bavarian flag. The complexity of the flag is not clearly explained, there is not a written depiction of the flag. Even though it does cover the flag itself, because the flag is so complicated it is difficult to understand the various aspects of the flag, and how additional variants exist when only two are depicted.
