ICW

edit

It has just been announced that due to Mick Foley's WWE obligations h can no longer appear at ICW's flagship show, Fear and Loathing 9. Apollo 55 Section

edit

The Apollo 55 section is quite lengthy which is okay I guess, but it could be broken down into subsections. The second paragraph specifically could be broken down into smaller paragraphs or subsections. Something I noticed quickly while browsing the article. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 15:13, 3 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

I cut the section into some shorter paragraphs. I don't think there's need to cut it into subsections; the current Pegasus Kid-CTU-Apollo 55-Bullet Club sections make sense, since they were clearly the four major stages of his NJPW career. リボン・サルミネン (Ribbon Salminen) (talk) 15:56, 3 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

NXT Championship #1 Contender tournament in accolades

edit

The NXT belt is negligible, in the grand scheme of things, so I don't see how winning a tournament to become #1 contender (not even champion) is notable. We've seen tournaments over the years for the #1 contender spot to bigger titles than the NXT belt, as well as tournaments FOR titles bigger than the NXT belt (e.g. Survivor Series 1998), and the victors of those haven't had the tournament win shoved into their respective accolades sections. Yeah, we all want Balor to be something, but let's wait until he actually does something before loading up his accolades section. DoubleYouSeaDoubleYou (talk) 17:35, 16 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Article name seems to bounced back and forth since this discussion was raised. Finn Bálor would seem to be fine under WP:STAGENAME, assuming this has become the best-known name by virtue of joining WWE/NXT vs. the presumably lesser-profile NJPW. However, some more input and consensus is needed to avoid starting up another page move war. Dl2000 (talk) 23:26, 21 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Request: Add Universal title to his list of championships and accomplishments

edit

Finn Balor won the Universal title at the main event of Summerslam 2016 in a "One on One- No Disqualification" match against Seth Rollins. During the match, Rollins performed a buckle-bomb on him, landing him on the ringside barricade shoulder-first.Therefore, relinquished the title in the following episode of RAW due to the injury on his shoulder which occurred during the match last night.

Balor to Bálor

edit

In the final paragraph of the Raw (2016-present) subsection of the WWE section, can "Balor" in the sentence "The following week the trio officially reunited and formed Balor Club, an homage to their former stable." please be changed to "Bálor" (with the a having an acute accent), consistent with every other instance of "Bálor" appearing in the article? Thanks.

Question: Could you crop it a touch? Pictures on Wikipedia pages have a preset width, so this picture would appear much larger. It's a bit small right now due to the dimensions. JTP (talkcontribs) 05:57, 18 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

edit

Hello. Is it possible to have the source indicated on Finn's residence? Because like many WWE Superstars, Orlando Florida has a lot of luck in being the city he lives in Brooklyn knowing that it has been said nowhere.

Could you change Brooklyn New York to become Orlando Florida again? Thank you.

After working under his real name, Devitt changed his ringname to Prince Devitt when he went to New Japan Pro Wrestling because nobody Japanese could pronounce his actual name. He was originally going to be called King David until people started questioning why the 24-year-old would be a king already. Eventually, Simon Inoki came up with the name Prince Devitt, which Devitt himself also preferred.[1] During his time in Japan, Devitt started to use body paint during some matches.[2] used bodypaint for big matches. When Bàlor returned to NXT on 2020, he said he wouldn't use the Demon persona too often, since using it too much in WWE lost the element of surprise.[3] When he signed with WWE, Devitt worked under two characters: Finn Bálor (named after the legendary Hunter Fionn mac Cumhaill and the Gaelic word for Demon King, Bálor[4]) and The Demon King, sometimes called The Demon, a darker and more aggressive alter ego[5][6][7] After Devit return to NXT in 2019, he said he will use less The Demon character.[8]

Devitt uses a Double Foot Stomp as a finisher[9], named "Coup de Grace".[10] Devitt also uses a lifting single underhook DDT (named Bloody Sunday in Japan and 1916 in WWE) as a finisher.[11][12]

This paragraph: "When he signed with WWE, Devitt worked under two characters: Finn Bálor (named after the legendary Hunter Fionn mac Cumhaill and Bálor, the Gaelic word for "Demon King") and The Demon King, sometimes called The Demon, a darker and more aggressive otherworldly alter-ego" is not entirely accurate - Devitt actually uses the Finn Bálor name for both personas, so it should read "Devitt worked under two distinct versions of the Finn Bálor character: ordinary Finn Bálor (named after the legendary Hunter Fionn mac Cumhaill and Bálor, the Gaelic word for "Demon King") and "The Demon King" (sometimes called "The Demon") Finn Bálor, a darker and more aggressive otherworldly alter-ego." 2407:7000:9025:1800:FC2F:CA7C:BBBA:1AF9 (talk) 11:07, 8 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Billed height vs real height

edit

I know wiki lists wrestlers' billed height(and weight), but this needs to be addressed. This guy is clearly like 5ft2, yet he's billed as 5ft11.

Hate to break it to you buddy, but this is kind of a common thing in wrestling. Sorry if that upsets you but you're not gonna see many legit heights for pro wrestlers on here.
