Date of Death
editCould people please stop try and add a death date, as it hasn't been revealed yet. The only thing we know is that he died in his sleep "over the weekend", as mentioned in the official statement by his wife on his personal website :
Eric Carmen
(1949-2024)
It is with tremendous sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Eric Carmen.
Our sweet, loving and talented Eric passed away in his sleep, over the weekend.
It brought him great joy to know, that for decades, his music touched so many and will be his lasting legacy.
Please respect the family’s privacy as we mourn our enormous loss.

Timing of joining Cyrus Eyrie
editThe article says 'By the time he was a sophomore at Charles F. Brush High School, Carmen was playing piano and singing in rock bands including the Sounds of Silence, and the Cyrus Erie.' and 'Carmen became serious about being a musician while attending John Carroll University. He joined a band named Cyrus Erie,..' I presume both cannot be true, so this conflict should be resolved. Jontel (talk) 09:59, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- I've checked the Allmusic biography, as well as the New York Times obituary, and both indicate he joined Cyrus Erie while in university. I've removed it from the high school section. Thanks. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 00:44, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
