Emerson (footballer, born 1999) → Emerson Royal – "Emerson Royal" is a very common nickname for the footballer, and seems to be the most WP:NATURAL disambiguator instead of birth year. He uses the name Emerson Royal on his Twitter, and Instagram, and this nickname is mentioned in his official transfer announcement here and in tons of other media. He also wears "E. Royal" on his jersey. Ortizesp (talk) 23:36, 8 August 2021 (UTC)— Relisting. Muhibm0307 (talk) 04:49, 16 August 2021 (UTC)

- Oppose - most sources tend to use just 'Emerson' from what I can see. This could just be a branding in the same was we have 'CR7' etc. GiantSnowman 17:17, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
- But Emerson is ambiguous, so we need to disambiguate somehow. The question we are considering is how, not whether. Natural disambiguation is preferred where possible, as here. Andrewa (talk) 02:18, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nominator - Oblow14 (talk) 23:39, 14 August 2021 (UTC)
- Support. Common enough to be a good natural disambiguation, so preferable. Andrewa (talk) 02:16, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
Transfer to Tottenham Hotspur
editHello, about an hour ago Emerson Royal completed a transfer move to Premier League club tottenham Hotspur. Can someone update this page to reflect the new team of the player. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nicopoulosp (talk • contribs) 16:39, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
Betis
editThe article says: "On 31 January 2019, Atlético announced the transfer of Royal to Barcelona, effective as of July 2019, for €12.7 million". So, in July, Royal was to become a Barcelona player. It then says: "Royal initially joined Betis on loan from Atlético for the remainder of the 2018–19 season". So, in January 2019, he was loaned from Atletico to Betis, during which time he made 6 league appearances, and is then immediately loaned from Barcelona to Betis as part of their arrangement, in July upon his transfer to Barcelona. This information all is sourced in the article. Which part of this do you dispute, JimmyCrow? All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 13:42, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
Furthermore, the article you are giving as your reason for reverting my edits, JimmyCrow, says: "Barca and Betis bought Emerson together for six million euros each from Atletico Mineiro. He played on loan at Betis for two seasons". Doesn't say "two-and-a-half seasons". Barcelona's own website reported at the time "The Brazilian will be officially joining the Catalan club on 1 July 2019". The website of Real Betis said "Cedido por el Clube Atlético Mineiro hasta final de temporada". All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 13:57, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
