Asuka Jun

edit

Maybe something should be mentioned about Asuka Jun's Fairies spinoff in the Japanese magazine Nakayoshi Raburii? (58.188.97.134 11:24, 14 February 2007 (UTC))Reply

Here is the tokyopop link to the english version of that manga http://www.tokyopop.com/product/1904/Fairies/1 But then there is also a manga by Haruhi Kato that is directly based off the english chapter books. Here is the link to the englihs version of that http://www.tokyopop.com/product/2702/Fairies/1 Shouldn't we add these in? Mew Mitsuki (talk) 18:40, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Fairydustcover.jpg

edit

Image:Fairydustcover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Descent

edit

Someone just edited this article to describe one of the fairies as "of African descent". I'm no export, but do fairies even have descent? Do they have ancestors? Maybe something like "African appearance" would be better. DJ Clayworth (talk) 15:27, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

The version of the Fairies' origin that Disney is using says that they're each born from the first laugh of a baby, and these fairies found their way to Never Land. One might suppose that fairies created by African babies have African features. "African origin" might be a good way to express this. - JasonAQuest (talk) 17:28, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've decided to make the change to "appearance". No offence intended if someone thinks this is wrong for some reason. DJ Clayworth (talk) 21:40, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'd say that's a great choice of words: captures the facts perfectly. - JasonAQuest (talk) 01:53, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

yes appearance sounds much better as there not humans or even alive there animted characters but children watch them so they have appearances of humans races and ethnics.

P.S i also added "of African appearance" to lily shes not in the films but is in the books and she clearly looks like a black or mixed race girl, and also fira is tanned olive skinned is she asian (indian) or hispanic i just wondered coz i love her she is soo beautiful and should be in the films like lily —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.22.199.25 (talk) 00:56, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fairies

edit

I propose making an article titled "List of characters in Disney Fairies". The way the character section in this article looks is kinda messy. Telemachus Claudius Rhade (talk) 14:16, 8 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree. I believe that the seven core fairies listed can stay, but the rest should be moved to an article like the one you mentioned.

Lost Treasure film

edit

I just saw an ad on Disney Spanish channel that this film is "solo en cines" - is that dependent on the territories ? Or might that also apply to the US, too ? -- Beardo (talk) 03:02, 1 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Pixie Hollow

edit

Pixie Hollow currently redirects to the website's section. However, I think it is also the name of some attractions in Disney Parks. Anyone with enough information can split the article to an attraction one? I can help with fixing links to the website section. --LoЯd ۞pεth 04:18, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Characters

edit

I hate to be the grinch here, but the list of characters has gone beyond verifiable sources, past original research, and (I fear) into creative writing with some help with the DF web site's "create your own fairy" feature. The bunch of "Newest Fairy In Pixie Hollow"s, for example. The best solution I can see is to apply Wikipedia policy: require that every fairy listed have the source identified: the book or movie she/he appears in. It doesn't have to be properly formatted citation, just the title, to allow someone to verify it if they wish. And to make it work, we'll have to cut the list all the way down and start over, because it's way too easy to just let these potentially made-up names stay where they are. -Jason A. Quest (talk) 00:58, 19 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I agree with this statement. example who is Glowery Bell? She's not in any movie that I can tell. Also the description for her is not written very well. It's confusing. I would like a source for her because I think she might be fan made. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.10.97.189 (talk) 04:12, 15 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
This article seems like a prime spot for fanfic vandalism, I suspect that's what this is, overly creative contributors. -- Zanimum (talk) 18:45, 15 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

This is still happening, big time. Abby, the fairy who 'might' have more than one talent? Crystal, the fairy with a MERMAID sister? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:35CC:3270:E41D:F9C:228C:BD63 (talk) 00:11, 19 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Adventures TV series on Junior

edit

Made a section about this but need more data. Does this exist only in UK and Asia but not US? What is it, a port of the films in episodic format or something? 174.92.133.112 (talk) 14:08, 19 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

This is not an original series, but it is only the first five Tinker Bell films cut into 13 episodes: http://tv.twcc.com/tv/adventures-of-disney-fairies/7863195. --Carniolus (talk) 17:42, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Talents

edit

All of Disney's fairies have a talent; maybe a new section should be added listing the talents. Or I feel like adding a list of all the talents might make the article appear messy so maybe just a section to state the most mentioned/popular talents in the Disney Fairies franchise?
