Vovche

edit

Vovche next to Prohres in Donetsk Oblast is certainly captured, on around 20 July - 29 July, but there is no information about it on the article. Same for Svyrydonivka, Timofiivka, Zhuravka and Lysychne. 77.219.13.96 (talk) 16:04, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Same for Zalizne and New York. 77.219.13.96 (talk) 16:55, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
77.219.13.96: added Vovche and updated Zalizne. About New York, ISW still shows a large part of it controlled by Ukrainian forces so it would be too early to change it (right now its shown as contested). For Svyrydonivka, etc., those are all relatively small settlements/villages and this list is already so long as it is so ideally would be best to avoid putting them all in (I added Vovche though since I think its been reported quite a bit amongst the media (like Prohres) although other editors are free to take it out if it helps). Alright, I understand, thanks :) Pivnichne will also soon need to be added. 77.219.4.202 (talk) 18:52, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Pivnichne already seems to be present in the list. Flemmish Nietzsche (talk) 18:55, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I meant added to the list at the bottom, which shows the dates and order of capture. 77.219.12.48 (talk) 11:08, 31 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
And Pivdenne certainly isnt contested, its 100% captured 77.219.12.48 (talk) 11:10, 31 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Zalizne

edit

ISW and deepstate show like RF controls %99 of the town so, it could be marked as controlled by russians Asigooo (talk) 20:40, 30 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

99% is not 100%, nor have either of those sources explicitly said it was "captured by Russia". As Russia, from the ISW's own map, controls the part of the town where anyone actually lives, a news source in their own voice saying the town is captured would be fine, but I can't find any at the moment. Krasnohorivka

edit

On the map, Krasnohorivka should be shown as mostly captured (red circle with a spinning icon in the top left, similar to Toretsk or Selydove currently).

Vyimka

edit

Vyimka is captured according to Russian MOD: "Russia says it has captured two more settlements in east Ukraine". Reuters.

Yes, and that's what they claim; it's not yet confirmed by any reliable source. Flemmish Nietzsche (talk) 17:37, 2 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Kursk Oblast

edit

Kurchatov and the KNPP are missing from the territorial control list and the detailed map. They, together with Lgov and Rylsk, were seemingly the end goals for the Kursk offensive.

Further more, Belaya and Bolshoye Soldatskoye are on the list, but not on the map. Adding them would make the approximate extent of the Sudzha salient/incursion more visible.

Toretsk urban hromada

edit
  • The capture of Pivdenne is missing from the timeline. I'd suggest going with the Russian date, as there is no alternative Ukrainian date. The "confirmed capture" date is just ISW admitting it was captured, not when.
  • The capture of Zalizne is also missing from the timeline. I'd again suggest going with the Russian date, as there is no alternative Ukrainian date. The "confirmed capture" date is just ISW admitting it was captured, not when.
  • Pivnichne is claimed captured since at least 31 August 2024: "7 killed by Russian attacks as Moscow pushes ahead in Ukraine's east". AP News.

I agree with all 3 suggestions. Asigooo (talk) 22:31, 10 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

About Timeline of total controlled territory section - Crimea

edit

I think it'd be better if u stated that "territory" in this part includes crimea, since crimea is seen autonomous by some people. Asigooo (talk) 21:32, 17 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
