Split it up

edit

The only reason I even know that somebody bought the company name is from this Wikipedia page. I came here to view an archive of the history of a chain of defunct retail stores, not learn about some guy’s website with the same logo plastered on it. I feel like the page would be more accurate if the current venture was treated as a disambiguation/see also and not incorporated into the primary Wikipedia article. 75.165.168.232 (talk) 22:03, 2 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. I came looking for information regarding the defunct electronics retailer and instead see a messy article page. -- 23.24.255.177 (talk) 01:37, 12 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Split, purchase by Systema and Circuit City Corporation

edit

I renamed "Revival" to "Purchase by Systema" and gave the last paragraph the title "Circuit City Corporation" to make things clearer. I also removed the proposed split template for a new page "Circuit City Corporation" as there is currently not enough information for a separate page. If one was created it would be nominated for deletion and merged back in.

If a split is appropriate then the section should be expanded until there is sufficient information to warrant a stand alone page. Gusfriend (talk) 09:22, 8 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Is, or Was?

edit

Editors have been slow edit-warring (likely unintentionally) over whether Circuit City should be described as still existing or not in the lead. Can we please get a consensus on the proper phrasing? Thanks! DonIago (talk) 12:59, 25 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
