I have fully-protected the article for one week due to the edit-warring taking place. The idea behind this is to get the editors involved to use this talk page and to find a consensus about the edits that they are disagreeing about. I had a look at Kibus1's version and it looks like it goes against a few of our policies. For example, saying that Janson "was soon garnering much critical acclaim for his outstanding performances" doesn't look like it fulfils our neutral point of view policy. (Kibus1, you might also want to read our guideline on words to watch.) Also, the references seemed broken in that version, which means that it fails the verifiability policy. This version has working references, but I'm wondering whether the Music Row and Roughstock sources pass our guideline on identifying reliable sources. TenPoundHammer, do you have any opinion on this? Kibus1, I'd love to hear your thoughts about this as well. Let me know if any of this isn't clear (I know it is quite a lot to take in at once). I concur that there are parts of Kibus1's version that are not acceptable. In particular we should not include the unsourced biographical information now that it has been challenged and removed by TPH. There are problems with the tone being somewhat promotional and overly positive. Both editors do need to come discuss this here. There are parts of Kibus1's edit that could probably be integrated. The Music Row source is definitely reliable, as Music Row is also a print magazine, and there is obvious editorial oversight on their website. Roughstock also has editorial oversight (although I admit a slight COI on my part as I write for it), and its posts have been taken as reliable sources in the past, without question. Strad — please note that the second version you linked to omits the reference from The 9513 critcizing the single — I feel the negative review from The 9513 should be included alongside the Roughstock one to indicate that reception of "Til a Woman Comes Along" was mixed. This version of the article should be fine. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 19:35, 7 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
As an aside, here is a good source for verifying the fact that Janson co-wrote "Truck Yeah". Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 19:38, 7 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
