Threatened

According to Ministry of Natural Resorces (MNR Province of Ontario, Canada) This bird has seen a 30% decrease in population over the past 13 years. Currently, there is a conjunctive effort with Bird Studies Canada and a voluteer organization named "Ontario Swift Watch" which is identifying and observing nesting/roosting sites in preparation for protection measures. The MNR has declared the Chimney Swift as "Threatened" as of October 30, 2010.

I am not a bird enthusiast, and am unfamiliar with thier conservation status rankings. I do not know how to update such a status here on the wiki, and I would think that someone better qualified would be better suited to look into the status, statistics and possibly make the appropriate changes to the article. 24.235.198.91 (talk) 02:52, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Fovea

I clarified the fact that this swift has two fovea per eye. I relied on the following source, which I did not add; a different source is probably preferred:

Somebody might want to expand just a little about the 'bifoveal vision'. I would consider doing this, but thus-far all that I know about the subject is from that source. By the way, some birds are trifovial. ~Eric:71.20.250.51 (talk) 21:38, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
