Plagiarism
editThe plot description added on May 6, 2010, was plagiarized from a[1] number[2] of sources.[3] It's been removed. - Tim1965 (talk) 13:32, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
If it didn't have the reference why not just add them instead of removing it - the film needs a plot. Why was the casting information removed too? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.0.231.178 (talk) 22:36, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
Can someone please fix this summary because it's barely legible.
Title in the UK
editThe film seems to have been released with the full title of the book here in the UK. I'm not really sure how or where to add this info. Can anyone help? eyeball226 (talk) 00:32, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
Chris Massoglia's Agent Was Here?
editJust noticing that the star of this movie (Zac Efron) has his name mentioned 8 times in this article.
The actor who plays his brother (Charlie Tahan) has his name mentioned 6 times in this article.
The actress who is the "love interest" (Amanda Crew) has her name mentioned 4 times in this article.
The actor Chris Massoglia -- who was in a deleted scene and apparently isn't actually in the movie -- has his name mentioned 12 times in this article.
Seems a bit odd to me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.12.196.165 (talk) 01:35, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
I noticed the same thing. There are also uncited claims and phrases like "restored the deleted scene to its full glory" - definitely POV. If no one objects, I'll clean it up. Alphachimera (talk) 03:22, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
Set in Washington
editThe film is set in the fictional community of “Quincy Harbor, Washington”, not in Quincy, Massachusetts.
- The boat race is at the fictional “Bailey’s Yacht Club” not the Boston Yacht Club.
- The St. Cloud’s car has a Washington State license plate.
- Charlie et al. graduate from Winslow High School.
- Florio Ferrente’s EMS arm patch says “Washington State”.
- “Quincy Harbor Sunset Chart: Latitude: +47.60639 (47° 36' 23.004" N) Longitude: -122.33083 (122° 19' 50.988" W) Time zone: UTC -8 hours” (47°36′23.004″N 122°19′50.988″W / 47.60639000°N 122.33083000°W)
- KCEI “Island News Now” – the leading K means the station is in the western U.S., the tag line suggests Island County, Washington.
- The stern of Tess’ boat says “Quincy Harbor, WA” under Querencia (the boat’s name).
- The Sheriff’s hat patch says “Quincy Harbor, Washington”
- Dialog:
- “A low pressure system coming down from Alaska.”
- “Outside of Whidbey Island, heading into Puget Sound.”
- “Why the obsession with a team from Boston?” – pointless if they’re in Massachusetts
- “Cape Flattery, 20 miles from Tess’ last position.”
removeal of book vs movie differences
edit- some user Bovineboy2008 has removed the differences between the book and movie section due to lack of sources cause he think it's trivia, could you help me add the sources if I restore it?
- It is trivia. Difference sections can't just be lists of every single little minor difference. You need to have some real world context as to why things were changed. BOVINEBOY2008 10:51, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- Agreed. See the Harry Potter film articles for examples of how this should be handled. Doniago (talk) 13:04, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Charlie St. Cloud (film) → Charlie St. Cloud – WP:TWODABS. The book, to which the film is directly related, is not called "Charlie St. Cloud" and doesn't appear to be commonly known as such. Nohomersryan (talk) 05:06, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- Support Only article titled 'Charlie St. Cloud'; the other entry is a PTM. Pppery 15:06, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

- Why the misrepresantation of my username, which has six characters not three? Pppery 19:08, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- Are you genuinely offended or joking?! Zarcadia (talk) 19:19, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- Neither, really. I was not exactly offended, nor was I trying to be funny. Pppery 21:34, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- Well I didn't mean to offend you, I cut & paste your username but left out the talk part, hence rendering it as it was, apologies, not really sure what to say :/ Zarcadia (talk) 21:53, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
