Is the language for newlyweds or periods of mourning?
editThis page states that the language was used by newlyweds due to prohibitions on them speaking to certain groups of people, but the linked Armenian Sign Language page states that Caucasian Sign Langauge was used in periods of mourning. Which is correct? Was it used for both? Sprock0 (talk) 01:29, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
- I have now had time to actually look at this and the information about newlyweds in this article is (at least) cited while the text in Armenian Sign Language. That being said, the English-language scholarship on the subject is nigh-non-existent, and I'm hesitant to the information on the other page without a more thorough source on the language's use. I'll add a [citation needed] to the other article. Sprock0 (talk) 23:45, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
