I don't get it
editGiantSnowman, can you explain why Mitchell began his career with Millwall in 2018, the same year he was voted the club's Academy Schoolboy of the Year, before spending time on loan at non-league Bromley, before signing a new long-term contract with Millwall in August 2021.
(with the repeated use of "before" and tendency to run on) is better than Mitchell began his career with Millwall in 2018, the same year he was voted the club's Academy Schoolboy of the Year. He spent time on loan at non-league Bromley before signing a new long-term contract with Millwall in August 2021.
? Is this a British thing? I thought my change was a definite improvement, and the querent at the Teahouse seemed to agree. 97.126.115.128 (talk) 23:45, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
- You mean the editor who is the subject's father and who has been told before not to edit due to COI? GiantSnowman 05:51, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman, yes, and they've said they'll comply. But I don't see how it makes a difference to a point about grammar/readability.
- Are you going to revert me if I remove the comma after "Bromley"? Normally I'm not so shy about simple copy editing, but apparently this has somehow become contentious. 97.126.115.128 (talk) 12:36, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
- I am also, sometimes, this IP, in case that wasn't clear from the history/my post above. 199.208.172.35 (talk) 14:53, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
- The comma before Bromley is fine? GiantSnowman 17:05, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman, as currently present in the article, the two commas before "Bromley" are fine. I was asking about the one immediately after. 199.208.172.35 (talk) 18:00, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry, I did mean 'after'! GiantSnowman 18:11, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman, backing away then. 97.126.115.128 (talk) 19:20, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
