Is this section necessary: Attempts at revisionism
editThe "Attempts at revisionism" is based solely on one person's letter to the editor of the Rio Grande Sun. I don't think a letter to the editor is considered a reliable source. Plus, what follows has been uncited for a while. It seems this is one person's attempt to revise history, and including it in the article is non-encyclopedic. The section should be removed unless actual references can be supplied, since WP is not a venue for soapboxing personal opinions. Netherzone (talk) 22:22, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
- That sort of information has been included in the Juan de Onate article. I have added those sources, since the issue transcends just this article. Any decision based on the available references should be harmonized across the topic, especially considering its importance. I also changed "attempts at revisionism" because no reference is provided criticizing these views as "revisionism." That was a single change made by an IP editor in 2020.
