Results
editCan we have a results section and start populating the winners ? Since we already know most of the winners now. Thanks ! 184.162.112.242 (talk) 02:05, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
- Do you happen to have a source of the official national results?--Aréat (talk) 02:14, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Aréat You may start. Prodrummer619 (talk) 04:47, 17 May 2022 (UTC)

- @Aréat https://www.the961.com/tag/lebanon-elections-2022/. All of the final outcomes came out. There are no voting data, but this is a start. Prodrummer619 (talk) 08:58, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks. Hopefully they will eventually release national results. Can't do much without them. --Aréat (talk) 09:28, 17 May 2022 (UTC)

- hello @Aréat. It seems the lebanese ministry of interior have officially published the per-district results here: http://www.interior.gov.lb/AdsDetails.aspx?ida=5438 89.205.143.59 (talk) 12:37, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, but sorry, the language barrer seem way too high to me. Hopefully someone speaking arabic will be able to do a compilation.--Aréat (talk) 12:46, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- The 961.com has the best English language article with the full final list of seats. There are some mistakes on this wikipedia page: Free Patriotic Movement did not start out with 24 seats. They started out with 29. Lebanese Forces only gained 19, not 20. The 20/21 number you see in some sources counts LF allies who are not officially listed under the party. 20marcor (talk) 04:16, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
- Here are two articles I really recommend that spell it out really clearly:
- https://www.the961.com/list-of-seats-each-party-won-2022-lebanon-elections/ 20marcor (talk) 04:26, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
- Voting data is also present here. There appears to be preliminary seat counts in English, however, provided by The National and JPost, but they do not agree with each other. HapHaxion (talk / contribs) 16:21, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- So far, the most reliable source I've found specifying the seats per party is this compilation https://elgherbal.org/elections/results (in Results->Political Party). Different sources contradict each other when it comes to specifying who is ally of whom. I tried doing some fixes in the table, but who falls in "Others" and who in "Independent" is confusing. I do not speak Arabic, so it's difficult for me to do the final assignements of seats to the appropriate groups in the table. Samer.hc (talk) 13:04, 30 May 2022 (UTC)

Sources
editI would really love to see the sources of of the total voted received by the parties. Was it original research (user calculated) or these numbers can be found somewhere else? Prodrummer619 (talk) 20:08, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

Final results
editHi, I started computing the final results, both by lists and by parties, according to the figures published here and to the party affiliations declared in Candidates of the 2022 Lebanese general election. The main problem at the moment is that in every district there's a discrepancy between the sum of the votes obtained by each candidate and the sum of votes obtained by each list. (e.g., in the district of South II the sum of the votes obtained by all the candidates is 153,038, while the sum of votes obtained by all the lists is 160,948). Does someone have any idea of why is this happening?--Fm3dici97 (talk) 16:03, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- I'm guessing the votes for candidates are the preferential votes within the lists, and the list votes are the ones that matter for the results table? Number 57 16:25, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- It's ok to consider just the list votes to fill the table about results by list, but for the results by party the thing is a bit more tricky since almost every list contains candidates from various parties and/or independent candidates, and if we want the two totals to match we need to find a way to assign the missing votes to some party. A potential solution could be to assign those to the party that accounts for the majority of the candidates in the lists, but I don't know if it's the best solution. For sure in 2018 the two totals were matching, and the electoral system remained unchanged since then. Fm3dici97 (talk) 22:19, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
