Mornico Losana (Murnigh in Oltrepò dialect) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pavia in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 50 km south of Milan and about 20km south of Pavia. As of 31 December 2020, it had a population of 600 people and an area of 8.2km².[3] The name of the comune derives from its two largest neighborhoods, Mornico and Losana.

Geography

Mornico Losana is formed by hills of Oltrepò Pavese region, stretching its territory between the valleys of Verzate and Val Sorda streams. On the top of the highest hill of the comune, the castle rises.

It is divided in the fractions of:

Transport and Infrastructure

Mornico Losana is connected to Pietra de Giorgi and Torricella Verzate via the SP46 (Provincial Road). The only public transport available is the Autoguidovie Line 80,[4] with two stops: in Piazza Libertà, at the core of the comune, and in Losana; in previous years there was also a stop in Casa Guarnone. Furthermore, all the roads in the municipality are delimited to 30km/h zone.
