Which Side is Which?

Stupid question but are the people in black the Huguenots or the soldiers? From the right side of the image, it looks as if the people in the multi-coloured clothes are rushing in with weapons, as if they are the soldiers storming the church service but some of them are also fleeing/hiding in the rafters of the roof. Also, one of the people in multi-coloured clothes is holding a baby. Can someone please explain which side is which? 66.187.239.16 (talk) 00:33, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
