file history

There is a bit more history to this file than meets the eye, so I am documenting here simply for the sake of completeness.

1. In 2019 I created an SVG Flag of Kingston with nominal dimensions 1200x600. It was loosely based on a bitmap image at [1]. I used a home written perl script to create the SVG file because that is how I generate all my SVG files.
2. In 2019 (exact date lost) I uploaded the SVG file to Wikimedia Commons.
3. On July 1, 2020 somebody added a deletion request.
4. On June 8, 2021 the file was deleted from Wikimedia Commons.
5. On October 31, 2022 User:SpinnerLaserzthe2nd uploaded an SVG with nominal dimensions 447x223. That file was clearly generated by importing my original file into Inkscape and resizing it.
6. On October 31, 2022 I made a few tweaks to my original perl script and then I generated a new version of the SVG file with nominal dimensions 448x224. You may or may not notice that I shifted the crowns slightly; this was intentional. I uploaded this file as revision #2. Somehow I hit the upload button before finishing the edit summary; sorry about that. MapGrid (talk) 23:55, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
