Summary

Description
English: Principal components of the Vibroscope etching tool, which makes a permanent mark on a metallic surface by a controlled low-voltage (~4 V) spark,on the principle of the electric buzzer: as soon as contact is made, the iron armature is drawn into the coil, contact is thereby broken and the armature springs back, and so on. The spark has enough energy to make a tiny mark at each stroke. The sharp top of the armature might be made of tungsten for longevity.
