English: 1985, glass mosaic, glazed tile, 156 x 192”, at Suburban Station, Philadelphia. This is a mosaic installation in Philadelphia's Suburban Station by artist Joyce Kozloff. This panel pays tribute to Philadelphia as a transportation and mercantile hub. Kozloff models the train from Fix-Masseau’s 1929 Orient Express poster to evoke the romanticization of train travel. Kozloff also draws imagery from Istanbul's Topkapi Palace by incorporating its decorative motifs and doorway arch, through which the speeding train is visible.
