English: The Jerningham Apartments Built in 1705, this was for many years The Jerningham Arms hotel, inn and hostelry in Shifnal. It was a major stopover on the main stagecoach route between London and Holyhead, and provided sustenance to travellers and a change of horses for the coaches.
After finally closing as licensed premises in the late 1990s, it was converted to private apartments in 2004 or thereabouts.
