A stained glass window over the main entrance door says, "Gegründet 1854 - Halle Gebaut 1888" (Founded in 1854 - Building built in 1888). The window also lists the spelling as "Teutonia Männerchor" (Teutonia Männerchor Hall). A sign on the front of the hall lists the architect as George Ott. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
