This is one of 'modern' J72 0-6-0T's referred to in NZ4920 : Ex-North Eastern 0-6-0T at Middlesbrough Locomotive Depot, parked next to an ex-WD J94 0-6-0T outside the major Sunderland South Dock Depot, which in 1954 was coded 54A in the NE Region and had an allocation of 53 locomotives, comprising:- 1 2-6-0 (BR), 20 0-6-0, 6 4-6-2T, 3 0-6-2T, 11 0-6-0T (6 ex-WD) and 12 0-4-4T.
