Summary

Description
English: Metropolitan Borough of Stoke Newington: Like most British local authorities of the 1950s-60s, Stoke Newington possessed its own nuclear shelter. It is still there, though disused now except for storage. Shown here is the entrance still visible at the back of the town hall, 4 September 2005. Photographer: Fin Fahey.
