Description
English: The remains of the Solano (ferry) in the San Joaquin River in Antioch, California, USA. The ferry was sunk and turned into an island in the river shortly after the opening of the Benicia-Martinez rail bridge in 1930. The prominent steel structure was an A-frame to support the "Walking Beam" apparatus at the top of the fidley of the ferry that was originally a sidewheeler.
