English: Second of two lithographs of the Salford Cross, a centuries-old monument which was taken down in 1824 during Manchester's widescale road-widening program of the 1820s. Captured by Scottish artist John Ralston (1789-1833) circa 1821, and published as part of the series Views of Ancient Buildings in Manchester (1823-1825), circa 1823.
