Though the image is subject to copyright, I, Scott7261, feel that its appearance in the article qualifies as fair use because, in my opinion,

• the image is contextually significant in that it is a manga drawing by the character author, one that broadens the reader's understanding of the origin, history, and identity of the character;
• it is a low-resolution image;
• it is not likely to replace the original market role of the drawing or the manga in which it appears.

This image is an illustration of a character or characters in a comic book, video game, or animated television program or film. The copyright for it is most likely held by either the publisher/producer and/or artist(s) producing the work in question. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of character artwork: for commentary on the character or characters in question, where no free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information, on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law.
