English: This is an aerial picture of the "Grand River Motorplex", an automotive drag strip near Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada. The Motorplex is a reuse of the Royal Canadian Air Force airfield that was built in 1942 for the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. The triangular pattern of the original three runways is clearly visible, as is the hangar (the rectangular building at the bottom of the frame). The runway on the far side is still used by light aircraft. The view is towards the southeast, heading 130 degrees, looking down runway 13/31. The photo was taken by Duncan Almond, flying a Cessna 172R aircraft C-GGPO, using an IPhoneX.
