English: Photographer J. M. Briscoe writes: "This village was built during the North Sea oil boom to provide accommodation for the workers at the construction site nearby in NR9269. The bulk of the village is in NR9369 but the right edge is in NR9368. Picture is taken from Portavadie-Tarbert ferry which is probably in NR9269 or NR9169 when the picture was taken - I arrived just in time to catch the ferry so had no time to explore on shore! The village has never been used since it was built in the 1970s."
