Popular Science Monthly had been published a scientific journal from May 1872 to September 1915, when it was purchased by Modern Publishing. The journal continued as Scientific Monthly and Modern Publishing renamed their World's Advance general audience magazine to Popular Science Monthly in October 1915. Popular Science is still published as of 2008.
