Summary

Description 240 Centre Street between Grand and Broome Streets in the NoLita neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1905-1909 and designed by Hoppin & Koen as the headquarters of the New York City Police Department, which occupied it from 1909-1972. In 1988 it was converted to condominiums by the Ehrenkranz Group & Eckstut, and is now known as the Police Building Apartments.
