Summary

Description
English: Verso side of the papyrus fragment (Berlin, Staatliche Museen P. 21319). The fragment found in Egypt belonged to a tropologion, the part marked in red shows a modal signature which indicates the mode "echos plagios devteros" of the following Theotokion (a troparion in honour of the Mother of God). This signature and some sporadic signs of an early ekphonetic notation are in fact the only form of musical notation, the scripture can be classified as semi-cursive book script.
