Description
English: This 12-foot bronze peace statue stands in the center of Orange, Massachusetts. Designed by Joseph Pollia in 1934, this sculpture received national attention when it was dedicated as a memorial to veterans of World War I. The statue addresses the need for world peace through its inscription "It Shall Not Be Again and is said to be the only `"peace statue of its kind. It was designated the official statue of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1998. It is located in Veteran's Memorial Park, South Main Street, Route 122, Orange, MA.
