DescriptionNoodler's Black fountain pen ink writing samples.jpg
English: Noodler's Black fountain pen ink writing samples. One of the main selling points of Noodler's Black is that it is 'bulletproof', which means that it is archival in quality – resisting fading and being friendly to paper. The ink uses a cellulose-reactive dye that chemically bonds with the paper's cellulose, and therefore becomes resistant to removal by washing, solvents, erasing, bleaching and other conventional means. A disadvantage of this cellulose-reactive dye ink type is that, if spilled, it will form irremovable stains on clothing made from cotton or other fibers that also contain cellulose. Only the portion of the ink that binds to the paper fibers resists removal. The portion that remains on top of the paper can be washed away.
