Summary

Description
English: New Zealand rotary telephone. Note that the numbering goes 0,1,2,3... whereas most other countries number 0,9,8,7.... This is a standard Post Office model that was supplied in the times before the public were allowed to buy any phone they liked. It came in several colours. In 1987, Telecom was created and the public could soon start to buy their own phones. As of 13 November 2011, the pulse dialling phone network is still operational (as well as the newer tone dialling network) and this phone is still working.
