English: This map, from the U.S. Army Engineers' 1945 Annex to the Report on the Harbor Defenses of Boston, locates the 10 fire control towers and cottages that made up the network of base end and spotting stations for Battery Murphy, the twin 16-inch guns at East Point in Nahant, MA. Note that this map is oriented with east at the top of the page, looking seaward. The range of the battery was about 25 mi. and the distance between fire control stations Number 1 and Number 10 was about 40 mi.
