English: Highly orientated pyrolytic graphite levitating above alternating neodymium magnets. The graphite is a diamagnetic material which means it is repelled by both North and South poles equally. Pyrolytic graphite is an unusually strong diamagnet as it is a synthetic material and not thought to be found in nature. It's made of lots of graphene layers which are only a single atom thick!
