Description
English: Prince of Wales feathers fern (Leptopteris superba), Lake Wombat Walk, Franz Josef Glacier, Westland, New Zealand. This 3.8 km return walkway leads to the kettle Lake Wombat, named after "Wombat Jack" Irwin, a gold prospector in the the late 19th century. It passes through rātā-kāmahi forest before reaching the lake which is surrounded by Hall's tōtara and rimu trees.
