DescriptionLEDs light up the holidays (31468924060).jpg
A while ago in my Facebook feed there was a nostalgia piece about remember when your parents drove you around to look at Christmas lights and how exciting it was.
I wrote in a comment:
More like I remember squinting through some fogged up windows in the backseat of my parents car trying to look at lights. These days I ride my bicycle around beautifully lit up neighborhoods at Christmas time. Today's LED lights allow me to bike longer at night on a battery. They also make for some fantastic displays on the houses.
I have some nostalgia for my childhood Christmases, but the lights on houses seem even brighter today. Back then, it was all incandescent bulbs with the tiny twinkle ones just starting to come out. Today, it's lots of LEDs and even lasers. All, probably, from less energy consumption.
