edit12.8 cm Anti-tank Gun 44 L/55 by Krupp C
This picture is of the 128 mm German anti-tunk gun 1944 from the Second World War. This picture was taken before 1950 most likely in Germany in late 1945 or 1946.
Only a very small number of these guns were made hence pictures of this gun are extremely rare.
This picture appears in "German Artillery Of World War Two" by Ian V. Hogg. The image is at least 50 years old.
The book referenced above is out of print. The book contains two copyright references Ian V Hogg (1975) and Lionel Leventhal Ltd (1975). I V Hogg is deceased. Lionel Leventhal Ltd has ceased trading.
The only other reference is Arms & Armour Press who have also ceased trading.
I have been unable to locate an identified Public Domain or free instance of a photo of this gun.
The only reason for the picture is to show this gun and the only use on Wikipedia of this image is on a page about the weapon in question.
The image is low resolution and of no larger and of no higher quality than is necessary for the illustration of this weapon, and the use of the image on Wikipedia is not expected to decrease the value of the copyright
