Reply from John Avery:
Hi Libb,
What a wonderful surprise it was to receive your letter and to hear that you have made a Wiki biography for me! As you can imagine, I am absolutely delighted, especially to see the main ideas from "Information Theory and Evolution" so beautifully summarized. My children will think that it is fun to see me in Wikipedia.
You ask about additions and corrections. One small correction is I am Contact Person for Denmark for Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs (not Danish Secretary). I would be delighted to have my photo included. There is a good one on the website of the Danish Peace Academy, which you are very welcome to download, upload and use. I'll send you the link in another e-mail, as well as links to two of my books that are on the web, which might be included under external links.
Finally, I want to say how much I enjoyed reading your splendid discussion of Gibbs free energy. It is extremely clear and beautifully written. The historical quotations are especially fascinating. I also very much enjoyed Interpersonal Chemistry! Good luck with your now book!
With Many thanks and warmest greetings,
John
