Description
Français : Jean-Baptiste Drouet, comte d'Erlon (1765-1844). Chef d'état-major du maréchal Lefebvre puis du maréchal Lannes, il participe à la soumission du Tyrol puis prend part à la guerre d'Espagne. Commandant en chef du 1er corps de l'armée du Nord pendant les Cent-Jours, il oscille entre les batailles de Ligny et des Quatre-Bras, le 16 juin 1815, sans participer à aucune. Le 18 juin, à Waterloo, il dirige l'attaque principale française contre la Haye-Sainte, mais ses troupes sont sévèrement repoussées par la cavalerie lourde britannique. Tombé en disgrâce sous la Restauration, il en est tiré par le roi Louis-Philippe en 1830, qui fait Drouet d'Erlon maréchal de France en 1843. Ce dernier s'éteint le 25 janvier 1844.
