Public domain by age. This work was originally published before 1964 and had to have the copyright renewed sometime in the 28th year. If the copyright was not renewed the work is in the public domain. Online searches of the U.S. Copyright Office's Copyright Records web site for "Michiganensian" and "Ensian" revealed no renewal entry for the 1933 Michiganensian. Similar searches of the Stanford University Copyright Renewal Database reveals no copyright renewals for any volume of "Michiganensian" or "Ensian" during the period from 1923-1963. Accordingly, it appears the copyright was not renewed and therefore it is in the public domain according to either criteria. |
