Description Boulton Paul Defiant Mark III, N1697, target tug at Desford, Leicestershire. Previously a Mark 1 fighter with No. 256 Squadron RAF, it has been converted to a target tug by Reid & Sigrist Ltd. As a target tug, it served with Nos. 288 and 667 Squadrons RAF.
