English: View of the IBM 1800 Data Acquisition and Control System computer used to accept and process data from a mass spectrometer at the Exxon Research and Engineering Company laboratory in Baytown, Texas. This photograph was taken on the day that use of the computer was discontinued at the laboratory. Henry Earle Lumpkin (Research Associate in charge of computer operations) stands to the left while laboratory technician Jack L. Taylor is visible on the right. Taylor is wearing a black band on his right arm to mark the "death" of the computer.
