English: Hildur Vestergaard is mayor of Sumba Municipality, which is the southernmost of the municipalities of the Faroe Islands, located on the southernmost part of the island Suðuroy. Hildur grew up in Vágur, her husband is from Sumba. She was elected for the village council of Sumba in the elections in November 2008. She has been mayor since January 2009.
