THIS SITE IS LISTED AS ADDRESS RESTRICTED BUT THE ENTIRE AREA HAS BEEN DEVELOPED AND A RECONSTRUCTED VILLAGE HAS BEEN OPENED FOR VISITORS. WHILE THE ACTUAL SITE HAS NEVER BEEN DEFINITELY ESTABLISHED THE CONFIGURATION OF THE RIVERS AROUND DUTCH GAP IS SUCH THAT IT IS VERY LIKELY THAT THE RECONSTRUCTION STANDS AT LEAST ON SOME PART OF THE SETTLEMENT WHICH WAS THE FIRST SETTLEMENT AFTER JAMESTOWN
