Summary

Description
English: This image shows the GL Mk. III(B) radar, used to guide anti-aircraft guns. The separate transmitter and receiver antennas are on top, can can be rotated from within the cabin. The two whip antennas at the rear of the cabin are used for IFF interrogation. The wooden boxes at the front hold tools and stores, and the rounded metal box behind them is a generator. The right-hand dish, the receiver, has six small bumps visible around the rim. These would normally have thin rope running from them to similar connection points on the white disk. Fabric would then be stretched over the front of the dish to protect the antennas behind the white disk from the elements. A similar cover was normally placed on the transmit dish as well, but didn't need the ropes because the antenna didn't spin and the fabric was simply stretched right over the antenna post.
